Adebabay ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Adebabay mobile application.
Information We Collect
- Account information: name and email address when you register
- Listing data: photos, descriptions, prices, and contact details you post
- Contact information: phone number if provided in listings or support requests
- Messages: in-app communications between users
- Payment information: billing history and subscription status. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers
- Usage data: pages viewed and interactions within the app, collected pseudonymously to improve the product
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To publish and display your listings
- To facilitate communication between buyers and sellers
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the app and user experience
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Adebabay:
- Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe may collect and store payment card details subject to their own Privacy Policy
- PostHog — product analytics. Usage data is collected pseudonymously to help us understand how the app is used
- Expo — app delivery and push notifications
These services have their own privacy policies and data practices.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the Adebabay app: go to Profile > Delete Account and confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your account, listings, and messages — no waiting period, and no need to contact us.
If you're unable to access the app (for example, if you've lost access to your device), you can instead request deletion by emailing us at admin@adebabay.app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
